During the autumn term 2009 Puppet Theatre Wales will be working on the No Strings project with Welsh National Opera MAX, as part of the WNO’s 3 years Street Songs programme, which seeks to engage valleys communities with stories, song and opera funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
Helyn Latimer will be joining the WNOMAX team, working with over 100 pupils at Glenboi Primary School, helping them to create their own rod and shadow puppets, props and scenery, which they will use to act out their own mini opera. Later in the summer term, Puppet Theatre Wales will be running puppet making and manipulation workshops at two WNO MAX festivals based in the valleys.
